![]() Markdown extensions allow you to extend and enhance Visual Studio Code's built-in Markdown preview. No, there are several Vim plugins for syntax highlighting, snippets and so on, but Vim displays text and text only, therefore you cannot have Markdown (or any other kind of) preview in Vim. In any case, as soon as install the vim-pandoc plugin, my syntax highlighting goes out the door in markdown. This includes changing the look of the preview or adding support for new Markdown syntax. If you're interested in real-time preview, maybe MarkdownPad would suit your needs better. If only I could get vim-pandoc not to do this, I'd be all set.
